You Are
You-nique!
I’ve always known I was different— left-handed different.
I write with my left, and rumor has it my handwriting can humble a calligrapher.
I eat with my left, carry things with my left, and apparently even my ear pods know where loyalty lies.
Growing up, my grandma tried to “correct” me, but mercy said no.
And along the way, I heard rebukes from people who felt disrespected for handing them things with my left hand, as though courtesy has a dominant side.
Yet with all of that, I never wished to be right-handed. Not once. I love who I am—lefty and grateful.
But this post isn’t really about being left-handed.
It’s a reminder about your own uniqueness.
There is something about you; something you didn’t pick, edit, pray into or download that sets you apart.
And it’s on you to own it and hone it.
Don’t shrink because someone doesn't understand it.
Don't sell yourself short because you're short literally.
You can still call the big shots and get the answers you desire.
Don’t see yourself finish. You are You-nique.
I'll see you when I see you.
Love & Light,
The Ife Bayonle.

I love this reminder. Thank you!
